The Good Sam Club, the largest RV Club, attracts owners of all types of RVs as well as tent campers. The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) is restricted to owners of Class A motor homes while the WIT Club is for owners of Winnebago and Itaska motorhomes and Escapees is for full time RVers.

Types of RV Clubs

RV OEM or owners clubs are often sponsored by the manufacturers of RVs. They will sponsor caravans or rallies where all members own of a particular brand or model can share their experiences with their rigs and trade advice. At the larger gatherings the manufacturer may preview new RV models and provide factory service and warranty repairs.

Not-for-profit RV association clubs will welcome owners of RVs without regard to manufacturer. But they often bring together enthusiasts of a certain lifestyle or area of interest. This could include full-timers or military RVers, or owners of pop ups or bus conversions.

The for profit clubs are often national, professionally managed and offer benefits and services not available to smaller clubs. This could include travel services, RV insurance, RV financing, mail forwarding. Rather that promote the comradery of the club the discounts and savings are emphasized. Other RV clubs specialize in providing discounts on campground fees or may be connected with timeshare resorts.
